 The development of the Curtis Block by ONE Properties is an opportunity to connect the “Greenway”, running along 13th Avenue, up to 12th Avenue, across the LRT Line and into the Stampede Grounds. RAW won an international competition for the three phase development, paired with their long time Alberta associate MTa to bring this project to fruition. The design surrounds a new park, centered in the block, which provides both a focus to the development and a new along the Beltline. This will complete a lively progression of open spaces running along 13th and 12th. The project includes over 1200 rental and condominium apartments, which share a large outdoor amenity area. The podium containing 80,000sf of retail with a major new foodstore. Parking is provided on three levels below grade and two above The above grade parking is integrated with other uses and convertible to ensure an engaging and visually rich streetscape.
