SIZE 45,000 sqft
LOCATION Toronto, Canada
Structure, a contracting company with an elite clientele including Ciot and Pink Tartan, had to move to a larger space in order to accommodate its growing staff. The company chose a former garment factory in the High Park neighbourhood, a 45,000 Sq. Ft. heritage space with great bones that needed to be refreshed, opened up and reorganized.
Raw improved the circulation flow throughout the building, inserting a new central atrium, a modern-industrial stair and new exit points. To bring natural light all the way to the lower floor, apertures were carved into the ceiling. Rich in character, the interior demanded a restrained palette, so tailored elements were smartly inserted throughout. Glass meeting-room enclosures were framed in black, and a floating wood table was placed centrally so that employees stationed along the banks of windows could quickly convene.
